Over 800 new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin, 13 deaths

Wisconsin health officials report 829 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to over 65,000 people who have tested positive.

The percentage of coronavirus tests that returned positive was 7.3% on Saturday. This comes a day after the state saw 9.8% of tests come back positive, the highest since August 2.

The state Department of Health Services (DHS) said that around 85% of people who had tested positive in Wisconsin have since recovered from the virus. They said active cases have dropped to under 9,000 since Friday.

Health officials said 1,038 people in Wisconsin who tested positive have since died in relation to the virus, this is an increase of 13 since Friday.

Another 40 people with coronavirus have been hospitalized, bringing the state total to 5,275.
