MADISON (NBC 26) -- New numbers from Wisconsin Department of Health Services continue to shatter Wisconsin's previous coronavirus records.
Wisconsin reported 5,771 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, a new record. The last record was set on Oct. 31 with 5,278 new cases.
DHS also reported 52 new deaths, raising the death toll to 2,102.
Wisconsin now has 238,067 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 77% of those cases listed as recovered.
The number of people ever hospitalized in Wisconsin due to coronavirus rose to 11,844 - an increase of 247.
