More than 25,000 total number of coronavirus cases confirmed in Wisconsin

Wisconsin crossed the 25,000 mark on Monday for total number of coronavirus cases in the state.

According to new data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, there were 249 new cases reported Monday in the state. As of Monday, a total of 25,068 people in Wisconsin have tested positive for coronavirus.

6,300 coronavirus tests came back negative. The percent positive rate for coronavirus tests dropped to 3.8% on Monday; it was 4.6% on Sunday.

As of Monday, 745 people have died from coronavirus in Wisconsin.

These new numbers come as testing expands in Wisconsin. Prevea announced Monday that it has expanded its testing to two new sites in the greater Green Bay area.
