More than 1 million people have been tested in Wisconsin for COVID-19

MADISON (NBC 26) -- More than 1 million people in Wisconsin have been tested for coronavirus, according to new numbers from the state Department of Health Services (DHS).

The new data shows 1,001,924 people in Wisconsin have been tested for COVID-19. On Wednesday, DHS reported 884 new cases of coronavirus in the state. 16,139 tests came back negative. The percent positive rate was 5.2%, an increase from Tuesday's 4%.

Wisconsin now has a total of 56,940 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 81.4% of those cases have recovered. There are currently 9,629 active cases of coronavirus in the state. Wisconsin has seen a total of 944,984 negative tests.
