In last update for 2020, Wisconsin reports 3,810 new COVID cases

MADISON (NBC 26) — On the last day of 2020, Wisconsin reported 3,810 new cases of coronavirus.

These latest numbers are a slight uptick from Wednesday's, which saw fewer than 3,000 new cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin.

More deaths were reported as well on Thursday. Wisconsin's coronavirus death toll rose to 4,859, an increase of 41.

Wisconsin's recovery percentage remains at 93%. Approximately 447,500 people in Wisconsin have recovered from COVID-19 since the state began tracking the virus earlier this year.

The number of people ever hospitalized due to coronavirus went up to 21,350, an increase of 143. Of all the coronavirus patients in Wisconsin, 4.4 percent have ever been hospitalized.
