MADISON (NBC 26) — New numbers from the state health department shows half of people aged 65 and older are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Wisconsin.

The vaccine dashboard on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services' website show exactly 50% of people in the 65+ category have completed the coronavirus vaccine series. The dashboard also shows nearly 73% of people in that same category have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

As of Tuesday, DHS's online dashboard shows more than 2.3 million total shots have been administered in Wisconsin.

It comes as eligibility for the vaccine officially expanded to include more people, beginning Monday.
