COVID-19 deaths in Wisconsin reach 1,100

MADISON (NBC 26) -- New numbers show six more people have died from COVID-19 in Wisconsin, raising the state's death total to 1,100.

The new data released Wednesday by the state Department of Health Services also showed the percent positive rate, the rate of tests returning a positive result, going up to 7.4%.

More than 10,000 coronavirus tests were conducted Wendesday, with 768 of them coming back positive. There are now a total of 72,260 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin, with 88% of those cases now listed as recovered.
