The state Department of Health Services reported Thursday that Wisconsin now has more than 9,000 cases of coronavirus.
The number of virus-related deaths in the state has also gone up to 374.
For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.
