BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A 69-year-old woman has been reported as the 13th death related to the coronavirus outbreak in Brown County, according to a news conference held by county officials Friday.
Brown County now has 1,799 cases of coronavirus; the Onieda Nation has 18 cases. 40 people have been hospitalized, while 264 people are now out of isolation.
Testing for the virus continues at the Resch Center and at Casa Alba. A total of 2,713 tests have been conducted at both sites. Results from these tests are expected Monday.
As the weekend approaches, the Brown County Park Director Matt Kreise stated during Friday's news conference that facilities like nature centers, campgrounds and playgrounds are closed. Kreise said park rangers are out monitoring these areas. If people are going outside, officials ask that you plan ahead and social distance.
