BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Brown County leaders announced Monday a community testing site has been built as a part of the county's response to coronavirus.
In a news conference, leaders say the site will process coronavirus tests to help reduce exposure at hospitals. It was built in just 24 hours, and is not open yet. Brown County leaders are waiting for equipment, including PPE's, and tests before it can open. They're calling on the state and federal government to deliver the items to help the county with this effort.
Brown County leaders are also asking the public to follow the CDC guidelines to wear a cloth or fabric mask when out in public. Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach donned a face mask during Monday's news conference as a demonstration.
Brown County is also asking residents to abide by the "safer at home" order.
