The Appleton Health Department received notice Thursday of three more people testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 44.
According to a news release from the city, there are currently 31 residents in isolation and 12 residents who had COVID-19 have been released from isolation. One resident has passed away from the virus.
The city says all three residents live in the Outagamie County portion of the city. The cases were acquired through contact with individuals confirmed to have COVID-19. The residents are in isolation.
