MADISON — For the third time in a week the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported a record breaking number of positive test results for Covid-19 in a single day.

Health officials reported 3,861 positive tests on Friday. On Tuesday they reported what was then a record breaking 3,279 new cases, and on Thursday the reported 3,747 positive test results.

21 new deaths were reported due to the virus, bringing the state total to 1,574.

There are currently 34,345 active cases of Covid-19 in Wisconsin, and 130,231 people are considered recovered from the infection.
