After record-breaking weekend, Wisconsin reports 4,360 new cases

MADISON (NBC 26) -- After a weekend that saw record-shattering numbers, Wisconsin reported a lower daily number of cases Monday.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 4,360 new case of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the state total number of confirmed cases to 271,770. The state showed a positivity rate of nearly 31%.

The state death total is now at 2,329, an increase of 17.

The number of people ever hospitalized due to coronavirus in the state is now at 12,939, an increase of 100.

Around 77% of people have recovered from the virus in Wisconsin, according to DHS.
