BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Brown County health officials report there are now 410 coronavirus cases in the county, a 93 case increase from Tuesday.
The Oneida Nation is at 6 coronavirus cases, up one from Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon, health officials also reported the second death in the county is of a 56-year-old woman living in the 54311 zip code.
Two meat packing facilities in Brown County have dealt with coronavirus cases recently. Brown County health officials said Wednesday American Foods Group started testing employees at 2 a.m. for coronavirus. JBS continues testing employees. There have been 147 coronavirus cases now linked to JBS, 39 cases to American Food Group, and 19 to Salms.
Brown County health officials say there currently is no correlation between voting and confirmed cases.
Claire Paprocki with the health department is urging people to continue practicing social distancing.
"We know this message is a little bit tired and feeling a little bit old at this point," she said. "One thing we can verify, 100 percent, is the virus spreads person to person. She adds, "Please don't go to church; please don't go over to your neighbors for a bonfire even if you're six feet apart. Stay home; only leave for essential services. This is our personal mission for everyone in the community."
