The owner of the “nation’s largest kitchen store” has announced it is going out of business.
In a video message on YouTube, "Cooks Corner" owner Pete Burback announced that the store is closing.
The video is also posted on the store's website.
Burback explained that a combination of debt going up and sales staying flat or down is what led to his decision to close.
“Before I get into a position where I can’t pay our creditors our vendors, I want to make sure that I can do that,” Burback explained in the video.
Burback went on to thank his customers for their business over the years, adding that the company will keep its chin up and hopes to come back with something else that their customers will like.
Burback says that a sale at the store on Oneida Street will start Wednesday, March 8.
“Cooks Corner” has a store on Oneida Street in Green Bay. The store sells kitchen items, bakeware and also offers cooking classes.
