The lithium-ion battery packs inside can overheat, leaving the hoverboards at risk of smoking, catching fire and/or exploding.
No incidents or injuries have been reported, but consumers should stop using the product and contact World Trading to exchange it for a free UL-certified replacement hoverboard.
Evine's televised shopping programs and Evine.com sold the hoverboards in December 2015.
