Phase one of the construction of the Titletown District is finally underway today. Ground was broke Tuesday afternoon just west of Lambeau Field on a 34 acre plot of land. The first anchor establishment to undergo construction is the Lodge Kohler Hotel. It will eventually offer 144 rooms, 10 suites, a spa and pool and a rooftop bar with a great view of it all.
"We've been working on it for seven years and to see it come to this point and actually see the ground being broken and dirt moving is very exciting," says Mark Murphy the CEO of the Packers.
The construction of both the Hinterland Restaurant and Brewery and the Bellin Health Clinic will follow in the very near future. Contractors are expecting all of these new Titletown District establishments to be open as soon as next July.
