ASHWAUBENON, WI--- A new movie shedding light on the concussion problem in American football is opening nationwide this Christmas day.

The film documents the NFL's push back to a doctor's findings on brain trauma in football. People in Green Bay say they hope this will spark even more discussion on concussions in all levels of football.

Mallory Patton of Green Bay says "Concussion” is an eye opener.

“Bring to light what happens to the human brain that sustains blows to the head," says Patton.

“Looking back at some famous players who have died from such serious injuries, I needed to know more about it," says Jeannie Brosteau.

Today the NFL Players Association is encouraging players to see the movie the leader of the Packers agrees everyone else should too.

“I think a movie like this can just continue to raise awareness about how important it is to protect young people," says Quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Sony is offering free admission to NFL players who want to see the movie.
