Posted

Students from all across Northeast Wisconsin are showcasing their talents at the Green Bay Area Regional Academic Competition Saturday.

Elementary, middle and high school students, who are part of their schools Destination Imagination clubs participated in the weekend's competition.

Teams present creative solutions to a number of mind-bending challenges in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, fine arts and social entrepreneurship.

"Problem solving, creativity and really about kids figuring out solutions all on their own without adult interference.  So everything they're performing and showing us today is all something they've come up with on their own with no adult interference," explained  Green Bay Area regional DI director, Theresa Shuck.

Tournaments like this are happening across 40 states and in more than 15 countries across the globe.
