COMBINED LOCKS, WI -- The village of Combined Locks is considering ending their contract with the Fox Valley Metro police department.

The Village Board met Monday night, and voted to put a deadline for negotiations on their contract.

Officials say they are paying too much for the services they use.

"We have put forward a drop dead deadline of July 1st, says Village President John Neumeier. "We will enter into negotiations with the villages of Kimberly and Little Chute to address the formula's inadequacies.  If we feel that progress cannot be made at the time of July 1st, we will pursue other alternatives to our policing services."

If they end their contract with the Fox Valley Metro police department, they could use the Outagamie County sheriff's office for policing.
