The City of Menasha Police Department performed an act of kindness for a man battling icy conditions earlier this month.
According to their Facebook page, a man in his sixties fell while trying to ice his driveway and could not get back up. City of Menasha police officers arrived to help the man get back into his home, but also went the extra mile and helped him salt his driveway.
Officer Hill with the department recognized the icy driveway could cause the man to fall again, and that's why he decided to help salt it, the post said.
The City of Menasha Police Department said this is just one example of how they "try to solve problems and serve the community."
