Green Bay's Redevelopment Authority mulled plans for the city's Shipyard District just a week after the Green Bay Bullfrogs announced a move to Ashwaubenon.

The site is located just off Broadway Street near the Mason Street bridge.

Leaders had hoped for the new Green Bay Bullfrogs stadium to feature heavily in a multi-use development project.

Some on the Redevelopment Authority suggested that even without the team, the site still can be salvaged as a moneymaker for the city.

"That space still has all that potential that Big Top brought," alderman Randy Scannell said Tuesday. The alderman pointed to other sports like Lacrosse as potential for the site.

Other potential uses include a music venue, or opening it to other area businesses.

Big Top, the company behind the team, plans to build the new stadium south of Village Hall on Holmgren Way.

Scannell wished Big Top Baseball the best, but said the city will move forward.
