Women and girls in Northeast Wisconsin, also joining in on the worldwide celebration of International Women's Day Thursday.
The Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay hosted their second annual "Backstage with the Women's Fund" event. It was a meet and greet event for women in the area, to network and learn more about local organizations that help women and girls.
"The purpose of our event is to really celebrate International Women's Day by honoring the non-profit organizations in Green Bay that contribute to self-esteem and leadership for women and girls," said Susan Varanczyk of The Women's Fund. "So these are all programs that we fund through the Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay".
The group also has more events that benefit women, throughout the year, like their most popular one: The Power of the Purse.
