Wednesday, January 11 is National Milk Day!
On this date -- January 11, 1878 -- milk started being delivered in sterilized glass bottles.
Milk is used to make a variety of other dairy products, like cheese, yogurt, sour cream and ice cream.
Of course Wisconsin is no stranger to milk.
Wisconsin dairy farms producemore than 29 billion pounds of milk every year. That's about 13.9% of the U.S. milk supply.
