According to Combined Locks Fire & Rescue, a car hit a power pole after a crash Saturday. Crews say this happened around 10:00 p.m. in the area of State and Fairway Streets. They report a car hit a power pole and wires were down.
Fire crews say when they arrived; part of the vehicle was on fire. A responding sheriff’s deputy put out the fire.
According to a release on the department’s Facebook page, the driver of the car had hit another vehicle prior to the pole. The driver had fled prior to the arrival of public safety.
Fox Valley Metro Police Department, Kaukauna Police Department, Outagamie County Sheriff's Department and Appleton Police Department were all on scene.
