The Calumet County Fire & Rescue hosted their twentieth annual pork chop fundraiser. They say the department needs help buying equipment and fundraisers assist the town with the expenses.
"You bet it makes a difference. It's all volunteer, we don't get paid. The volunteers come, so it's no pay for them. The equipment is what cost us money," said Alan Simon, retired firefighter.
Several other communities also pitched in on the fundraiser.
