The Brown County Health Department is getting ready to hold its first ever "This is Public Health" event.
This Saturday, there will be free flu shots for kids, bed bug demonstrations, radon education, and special screenings to detect any problems children may be experiencing.
"For families, they don't always know if their child has a hearing and vision screening issue until they have a screening done, so it's a really great opportunity to provide that service on Saturday," said Anna Destree with the Brown County Health Department.
Experts will also talk about proper food handling and infectious disease prevention.
The "This is Public Health" event is this Saturday, October 15th from 9:00am to noon at ShopKo Hall in Ashwaubenon. Admission is free. There is also free parking at Lambeau Field.
