Brown County hosted the "Great Rat Trap Giveaway" at the Neville Public museum on Saturday.

Anyone that showed up was given up to 3 free rat traps.

This come after the county supervisors approved a $5,000 budget to help stop rat problems in the Green Bay area.

"I'm very happy that we're able to alleviate some of the issues that are going on right now with the rats. This has been an ongoing issue and this is a small step but at least it's a step," said Patrick Evans, Brown County Supervisor.

The county says it's good to get rid of food lying around that rodents might find. It’s also good to take the trash out frequently.
