March in Wisconsin usually means one last snow storm. The weather swung from spring to winter on Wednesday as wet snow blanketed Northeast Wisconsin, including Brown County.
People tried to prepare for the brief return of winter.
"We're getting gas for the snow blower tonight," said Bill Herman of Green Bay.
Others geared up to help neighbors dig out.
"Probably about four or five driveways I do, just to help out the neighbor ladies," said Keith Leiterman of Allouez.
On the roads, some drivers maybe forgetting what to do in these conditions.
"People need to slow down and just take their time and relax a little bit," said Herman.
NBC26 photojournalist Adam Hansen and reporter Marisa DeCandido were on the roads and saw a few cars trying to find their way out of ditches on I-43, but most people stayed off the roads.
"I thought the highway didn't have a whole lot of cars on it tonight, it seemed like everybody is probably hunkering down for the evening," said Leiterman.
Waiting out what is hopefully the last storm of the winter.
