NBC News is reporting that at least two people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured in a shooting at a Florida nightclub.
The incident happened in the parking lot of Club Blu in Fort Myers at around 12:30 a.m.
The Fort Myers Police Department confirmed that two people were fatally shot and "at least 14-16" wounded.
Our sister-station spokewith a mother on scene, who says her daughter had to run from a gunman as he fired shots at her and her friend. Her daughter was not shot but her daughter's friend was shot in the leg. She is expected to be OK.
Two other scenes were connected to the incident, police added. A person of interest was detained at one of them.
