The Boulder Lake Campground in Oconto County is closing for the 2018 season until further notice.
Officials said they're closing down because of safety concerns. The Oconto County Sheriff's Department says a landowner near the campground had made threats last summer against camp goers.
The sheriff says there is no danger to the people in the area now and the issue has de-escalated over the past several months.
Deputies did not release if the landowner faced any charges.
Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest officials said the close is temporary and no reservations will be accepted at this time.
If you have already made a reservation it will be canceled and you will get a refund.
