A student admitted to making a bomb threat against Oshkosh North High School Monday, according to the Oshkosh Area School District.

The bomb threat was made on October 30, the district said.

School administrators followed the school district's safety plan and immediately called the Oshkosh Police Department, according to the district. Investigators determined there was no credible threat to the school or anyone inside.

The student was quickly found and admitted to making the threat, the district said. The student was arrested on criminal charges.

"In the Oshkosh Area School District, the safety and security of our children is the top priority and will continue to be," the district said in a press release.
