Green Bay Police are partnering with Black Lives United in Green Bay to bring a little Christmas cheer to the neighborhood.
This is the first year Black Lives United is hosting a Blu Christmas event for the community. Organizers say it provides open dialog for the community with officers.
There were lots of family friendly activities available too including ornament making, face painting and visits from the Grinch and even Santa Claus.
"All of the proceeds from all of our events are going right back into the community. All of our people that are part of the group it's volunteer so we really are committed to the mission and bringing our community together, especially during this time," explained Black Lives United communications director, Stephanie Ortiz.
The proceeds go to the Black Lives United Adopt a Family program.
