Black & Pink Ball fundraiser will help single mothers at COTS

Posted
Break out your best black gown and add a splash of pink, it's time for the Mid-Day Women's Alliance's annual Black & Pink Ball.

This year, the women's empowerment and networking group has chosen COTS in Appleton to receive the money raised by the event. Their goal is $25,000 which will allow COTS to help more single moms through their shelter and skill building programs.

"If you identify a situation that's unsafe, if you identify a situation that's unstable, let us know. We'd rather help now than wait for it to get worse, so let us intervene where we can. Come on in," said COTS Deputy Director Michael Green.

COTS serves 120 people a year.

If you would like to support the cause, the Black & Pink Ball is being held on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00pm at Waverly Beach in Menasha. There will be music, food, auction items and more. Tickets are $35 per person or $225 for a corporate table.

NBC26's Stacy Engebretson is honored to serve as the emcee for this year's event.
