A bill that would create new liquor license quotas for some areas has passed the Wisconsin State Senate and now awaits Governor Walker’s signature.
The bill allows a municipality to apply for two new Class B licenses outside of the quota system, if a premiere economic development district is created.
The Green Bay Packers’ $130 million plans for the Titletown District is a qualifying development.
Ashwaubenon currently has no available Class B liquor licenses, but the bill also allows for a neighboring municipality to transfer up to three of its unused Class B licenses.
