Thousands of people came out for the ninth annual Battle on Bago ice fishing tournament Saturday afternoon. Some were likely deterred from the tourney on the suggestion from tournament organizers that no trucks go out onto the ice, but many others took advantage of the weather to bring their kids out for the tournament. It’s anticipated that nearly $200,000 was raised through the event this year for local youth sporting clubs and for conservation groups focused on getting kids outdoors.
