A 27-year-old Barron man dedicated his performance on Monday's live episode of the "The Voice" to the missing 13-year-old girl from his home town.

It's been a month since Jayme Closs disappeared from her home near Barron and her parents were found fatally shot at the house. Authorities believe she was abducted and the investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.

On the show Monday, every artist dedicated their performance to someone. Chris Kroeze dedicated his song to Closs. He sang his own version of "Let it Be" by The Beatles and the show shared a photo of Closs. Prior to Monday night, the artist had sang at a vigil for the missing girl.

The Barron County Sheriff's Office thanked Kroeze for helping to spread their message after his performance and encouraged people to vote for him.

"Thanks Chris for helping us get our message of Hope out and bring Jayme home," the post said. "Lets help Chris out by voting."

Kroeze has been on Blake Shelton's team since the beginning of the season. His first performance on the show was with the song "Pride and Joy" during the blind auditions.

Last week, the viewers voted to keep Kroeze on the show while nearly half of the artists were sent home. In Monday's episode he competes to be in the top 13. The results air on NBC at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
