It was a birth to remember.
I couple from Pound, Wisconsin has a great story to tell after having their baby during a record blizzard.
Alyssa Champagne woke her husband up in the middle of the night saying it was time to go to the hospital.
When they looked outside, the snow was falling so hard there were white out conditions.
The two started their journey on trecherous roads to head to St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.
It took them twice as long as it usually takes.
"We went to the second entrance and that's where a guy was shoveling trying to give us a spot to pull into," said Jason Champagne. "I was worried. We had finally made it to the hospital and I was afriad we were going to get stuck, so I just put the pedal to the floor and barreled in and we made it."
The day shift struggled to get into work that morning so the night shift workers at the hospital stayed all day to deliver the baby.
A healthy baby Askren arrived that evening.
