B.A.B.E.S., Inc. Child Abuse Prevention Program is celebrating 20 years of service to the community.
B.A.B.E.S. works to reduce situations that can result in child abuse, providing quality of life strategies and methods for young parents and their children.
To celebrate the founder, Dr. G. Manns, leaders unveiled one of the honorary street signs available from the City of Appleton on Friday.
“I just think back from all the steps from day one from when she first had the vision and now to see that even beyond her passing that her legacy is being established in such a major way so it’s awesome,” said Freckie Briggs, Dr. G. Manns’ daughter.
According to group leaders, Dr. G. Manns, put her heart and soul into establishing and developing the non-profit agency. She spent many days and nights working on grants, conducting meetings, planning events and hosting dignitaries.
