An autopsy scheduled for the body found in Bellevue over the weekend hopes to provide more insight into the cause of death.
Police were called to a field south of Hoffman Road in Bellevue on Saturday around 2 PM after a woman's body was discovered outside in some tall grass.
The investigation is now being treated as a homicide though police say the public is not in danger.
However that didn't stop people who live nearby from feeling uneasy knowing the person or people responsible has not been caught.
Police say they do not believe the body had been there very long. They could not provide much information about the victim's age.
People in the nearby neighborhood hope more information is released soon, but only as police see is appropriate regarding sensitivity toward the family of the victim. They also hope police will know who is responsible.
Until then, some say they will double check to make sure all their windows and doors are locked each night.
