The Winnebago County Sheriff is providing new information about an armed robbery in the Town of Oshkosh that happened August 10.
The robbery was reported around 5:30 p.m. at the Fox Convenience Gas Station on Jackson Street.
Authorities say the suspect entered the store through the front door, displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the duty clerk. The suspect then ran off heading south with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect, described as a black male, kept his face covered wearing a Dallas Cowboys winter hat with eyeholes cut out. During the robbery, the Sheriff's Office says the suspect pointed a semi auto handgun at the clerk.
While a vehicle was not seen or reported by witnesses, investigators believe it is possible the suspect is driving a silver sedan. It is believed the suspect parked some distance from this location and walked to and from the scene of the robbery.
The Sheriff's Office also says there was a different robbery on Saturday, August 4th at the Grand Central Station located at N Ballard Rd in Appleton. It was robbed in a similar manner, but the Sheriff's Office does not know if the incidents are connected.
Anyone with information about this incident should contact Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detective Tyler Sleeter at 920-236-7377.
