Disability advocates scored a victory in Green Bay Thursday.
Our Three Degree Guarantee partner Aspiro, working with Camera Corner/Connecting Point and Associated Bank, unveiled a new handicap logo in the bank's parking lot.
Rick Chernick, CEO of Camera Corner/Connecting Point said the new logo "exemplifies better those who have disabilities who try so hard every single day."
The logo depicts an active, mobile person in a wheelchair, differing from the more passive, traditional icon.
Philip Flynn, President and CEO of Associated Bank, says they are "proud to use this new design at our location. It is a unique opportunity to display a more active, engaging symbol that focuses on a person's abilities rather than a disability."
