Ashland police officers are searching for a man they describe as very dangerous.
A warrant is out for Eric Schuette after he did not show up for an appointment with his parole officer.
Officials say in 2005, Schuette stabbed a Manitowoc police officer in the neck after being stopped for suspicious behavior. The officer survived the attack.
Then, last April, Schuette was released, but his parole agent noticed a change in his behavior last month and he recently didn't show up to meet with his agent.
KBJR 6 in Duluth reports Schuette was last seen camping in the Apostle Islands and is believed to be somewhere in Northwest Wisconsin.
