Arrest made after fatal hit and run in Waupaca County

The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in a fatal hit and run that happened on July 28th.

Officials arrested Michael G. Pribbernow and the Waupaca County District Attorney, Veronica isherwood, has charged him with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, hit and run resulting in death, operating a vehicle while revoked causing death and a third offense of operating while intoxicated.

The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call on July 28th around 3 a.m., for a man lying in the road on Golke Road and County Trunk Q and Knight Lane in the Township of Farmington.

The man was Timothy Cruse II and was pronounced dead from a hit and run crash.

Officials worked over the past month to make the arrest of Michael G. Pribbernow of Waupaca.

Pribbernow remains in custody on $20,000 cash bond.

The District Attorney Veronica Isherwood released the following statement from her office.

"I want to thank Sheriff Brad Hardel for the resources he provided to find the suspect in this case in record time. By following up on every lead and tip no matter how seemingly insignificant and providing the manpower to do the investigative work as the tips came in, my office was able to file charges today. While the family of A.J. will forever mourn his loss, I hope the swift pursuit of Justice will provide some solace to them. "
