A 27-year-old Milwaukee man is now behind bars after being arrested for armed robbery.

Grand Chute Police officers were called to the area of W. Metro Drive and N. Mall Drive around 10:20 PM Friday night.

Initial reports say a 20-year-old Appleton man was walking on Metro Drive when the suspect pulled up behind him in a white Dodge Durango. The suspect got out of the car and demanded money while showing that he had a semi-automatic handgun.

The victim was not injured at all.

A description of the suspect and his vehicle was put into circulation among local law enforcement agencies. Neenah Police soon noticed a vehicle matching the description heading south on I-41.

Stop sticks were used to deflate the driver side tires. The suspect was taken into custody near I-41/STH 44 in Oshkosh. A 16-year-old was also in the vehicle with him.

If anyone has more information that could help the ongoing investigation they should contact Grand Chute Police by calling 920-832-1575.
