At about 5:55 a.m. today, an armed robbery occurred inside Walgreens, 729 W. Northland Ave., Appleton.
A man, armed with a handgun, robbed the store of money and fled on foot. The call was dispatched to Appleton Police Department officers at 6 a.m.
A white man, who attempted to conceal his identity, entered the business and robbed the cashier. The man was described as being about 6 feet tall with a large build. He was wearing a olive drab/green hooded jacket. The jacket has a pocket on the upper left arm. It may have been made of wind/rain resistant material. The suspect's face was covered with a camo-patterned scarf. He was wearing blue jeans and had on black gloves. Following the robbery, he fled on foot toward the east.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Investigators from the Appleton Police Department are asking the public to contact them with any information they may have related to this robbery or robberies occurring in the area during the past two weeks.
