Appleton's riverfront begins construction on a new hot-spot.
Developers began construction on the $12 million dollar investment today, bringing the total investment to the riverfront area to $30 million.
The "Riverheath" Development site intends the hotel to be complete with a lounge, exercise studio, and a business center.
Overlooking the Fox River and surrounding trails, the hotel is expected to open spring 2017.
