APPLETON, WI -- The Appleton Fire Department released their annual report for 2016.
In the report it lists the department responded to 4,718 calls last year. That is the highest number of calls for the department in history.
Firefighters battled 127 fires and responded to 579 false alarms.
The report said their average response time to a structure fire was 4 minutes and 13 seconds.
During the year 2016, the department assisted in the successful resuscitations of 11 individuals.
