The Appleton Common Council unanimously approved a new riverfront development project, according to Alderman Curt Konetzke.
Leaders plan to build an assisted living facility on the west side of the Fox River near Lawrence University.
The site would also include family-sized condos.
The council will provide more than $4 million of fund money or the $18 million project.
