De Pere Representative Andre Jacque has announced he will not seek Reid Ribble’s seat for the 8th Congressional District.

He says: “It is a tremendous honor to serve the citizens of the 2nd Assembly District and to be able to make a difference in reforming state government for my constituents in Northeast Wisconsin and the Lakeshore area.”

He goes on to say he and his family are appreciative of everyone encouraging him to run for congress.

He adds it is something he would consider in the future, but feels now isn’t the right time.
